Restaurante 'Barriguinha Cheia'

sunday there's no cheaper "menu" (dish of the day, like on week days), but boy, is it great to find somewhere this nice to lunch way past 1500!? i asked for a breaded chicken not in the menu and they still had it! with rice, beans fried home made chips and lettuce carrot and onion salad. the half dish started at 7eur and there were left overs for lunchtime the next day! i'm guessing it was about 1kg (for 2 people) of great cook for a bargain of 17eur or so, with 1 cup of wine and 1 nice desert. to me, the nice price gets in the food taste.i read some of the local guide reviews here with 2 stars and less, complaining about codfish and service... comparing with my experience, they were just way too spoiled!be aware that, like almost all restaurants everywhere, there are big TVs with sound. that was my only downside.

Hello.We ordered food from this restaurant for the first time, in this case steaks with mushrooms, and we were pleasantly surprised. The food arrived super fast and the food was fabulous. There was a good amount of food and it was neatly arranged in the boxes. The meat was cooked to perfection. We noticed that the fries were homemade and not pre-frozen. In short, our first experience was very good and we will repeat it. Next time we visit the restaurant.

Wonderful experience.I had already been to this establishment, accompanied by friends, some time ago.Today we decided to revisit it.In addition to the pleasant surprise of finding my family next to the table we were shown, we had the pleasure of tasting everything with great excellence.The starters, main courses, dessert and after-dinner drinks were simply admirable.The price? I even asked the owner if everything was included in the bill, because I thought it was too cheap. But that's how it was.It's clear that whenever we're here, this will be the meeting point with excellent service and magnificent flavors.

Very positive experience, very well prepared and tasty food. The restaurant is very simple but I would suggest a take-away section of the dining room.
